Trevor Sumner, Marketing Director

Trevor Sumner joined the Chartwells management team in the summer of 2006, having worked the previous 3 years in marketing and public relations at Saint Francis Medial Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo. Sumner holds a bachelors degree in advertising and a masters degree in administration, both for Southeast Missouri State University.

Sumner has extensive colligate marketing experience, working in university sports marketing for four years prior to employment at Saint Francis. A majority of his college athletic marketing experience took place here at Southeast Missouri State. Although Sumner has limited food marketing experience, he loves to eat pretty much anything and finds his challenges to be, "not eating so much."

One of Sumner's passions include sports (watching, not playing), especially baseball and enjoys watching all Southeast Missouri State University sporting events. Sumner recently lifted a self-imposed boycott of the St. Louis Blues and once again considers himself a "fan". "I took the work stoppage too personal," recollects Sumner. "But now it seems they have it back on track so I decided they are once again deserving of my support." He also enjoys recreational reading and spending time outdoors. In the summer he can easily be found hiking at Trail of Tears state park, or canoeing on the mighty Meramec River.

Sumner is an Aries and enjoys dinner out with friends and family (For fun yes, but mainly because he is a terrible cook) and enjoys trying new and interesting menu items. He prefers to travel simply because he gets to eat new foods.

Sumner has a hard time picking a favorite dish because he enjoys so many and finds it easier to simply list the only food he doesn't like (cottage cheese and cous cous). His favorite meal on campus is anything that is served in The Beanery Cafe and highly recommends the Smoked Turkey Breast WITH THE CRANBERRY ORANGE RELISH!!!!!

Pam Lange, Office Manager

Pam has worked in food service for seven years.  She joined the Chartwells team at Southeast Missouri State in 1999 as the Office Manager.  Pam is responsible for maintaining student meal plan account records and administering the C-BORD system that runs the cash registers and card scanners in our on campus dining facilities.  She resides in Jackson, Mo. with her two children:  Josh and Amanda.

In her free time, Pam enjoys bowling, reading, and spending time with her family.

Cheryl Graf, Office Assistant & HR Coordinator

Cheryl Graf has worked in foodservice for over twelve years.  She first started in 1994 with Gardener Merchant/Sodexo Marriot and worked with them for four years as various positions including cashier and assistant manager.  In 1998 she joined Compass Group in California at a Eurest account, while there she handled served in a variety of functions:  catering, ordering supplies, deli prep, cashier, and billing.  In 1998 she moved from California to Cape Girardeau and joined Chartwells in June 2000 as office administration staff.   

Cheryl enjoys her position with customer service. “It’s always rewarding to know that you have made someone’s day a little better; not only for our clients but our associates as well.”

Cheryl has been married for twelve years and has two daughters. She enjoys reading books and completing puzzles. Her favorite NFL team is the San Francisco 49ers, but we don't hold it against her. Her favorite food is Italian; so pretty much all items served at the Mamma Leone's (located in Café Court) are great . For dessert, hot brownies are the best.
