What Would the Dietitian Do?

W.W.D.D. (What Would The Dietitian Do) is an approach to achieving a healthier lifestyle. It's designed to help students make healthier decisions when eating in our dining facilities. It compliments our available nutritional programs including Balanced Choice.

The items presented as W.W.D.D choices are not necessarily the healthiest options available, but it does help you find a balance between the foods you love to eat and the foods you know you should eat.

We will still offer nutritional information on all items, highlighting our most healthy options and Balanced Choice. W.W.D.D. addresses those who fall into a nutritional gap because often times diners only see the extremes - the healthiest of foods and the most unhealthy choices. This program provides some guidance to confused diners, suggesting tips that allow for healthier decisions for foods that fall between this nutritional spectrum. For instance, at Players Grill I would choose baked chips instead of French fries. Who doesn't like chips? Baked chips are a healthy alternative to French fries and still taste great!

Taking small steps to a healthier lifestyle is the motivation for this program. Whether you are wanting to revamp your eating habits, or just looking for simple direction, this program will set you on the right path. Just think about it, even small steps to reduce fat and calories will have a huge impact when factored out over the course of a year.
