Tim Weatherly, Resident District Manager

Tim Weatherly was named Resident District Manager for Chartwells at Southeast Missouri State University in June, 2001.  He brings more than 30 years of experience to the Southeast Missouri State University campus.  Prior to  joining the Southeast family, Weatherly was Director of Operations at the University of Arkansas.  In Arkansas, Tim was responsible for five retail operations and three residential dining facilities.

Weatherly enjoys his work immensely and expects his team members to do their best and have fun while doing it.  The "Fish" philosophy was introduced to Weatherly at Southeast Missouri State and he has embraced it wholeheartedly.  Keys to the "Fish" philosophy are:  Play, Make Their Day, Be There, and Choose Your Attitude.  He is also a believer in "kaizen," or continuous improvement on the job.  "Education just begins when you finish school," advises Weatherly. "Life long learning and attitude is the key to success for everyone."

Weatherly firmly believes that the students at Southeast Missouri State come first and is open to any ideas, comments, or suggestions offered to improve the dining services.  "Without the students, none of us would be here," he says.  "I am grateful for the opportunity to serve them."

"I am very proud to be associated with the Chartwells associates and management team here at Southeast.  I am delighted that through their efforts and support, we were able to retain the dining contract at Southeast. Along with this comes the responsibility to perform each detail. With the team we have put together, we should be able to achieve the goals set forth in our proposal and elevate the standards here and corporate wide. We will strive to set the example in all we do."

Tim has been married for 31 years to his wife Barbara.  They have two daughters and a grandson.  Danika is a graduate from the forestry program with a minor in environmental studies at SIU-Carbondale, Tessa has a degree in drama from the University of Arkansas -- Fayetteville and Malikei Dillon joined the family on April 23, 2005.
