Catering Guidelines and Policies

To plan the specifics of your event, contact the Chartwells Catering Office at (573) 651-2511 or stop by our office in the University Center, Suite 257. You will be asked to provide the following information: group name, date, time, and location of the event, approximate number of guests, and finally the special occasion for the function. All meals will be served on china unless otherwise specified. Online ordering is available through Catertrax.

Menus
We ask that you submit your catering order at least two weeks prior to your event. This will guarantee ample time to secure adequate staffing and to order the best possible products. A 15% late booking fee will be assessed to all events ordered with less than 3 business days notice.

Guarantees
A confirmed number of guests must be specified 3 business days in advance. This number is considered the guarantee and changes will be made accordingly. The Guarantee is not subject to reduction after the deadline. Billing will be based on the final guarantee. If the number of attendees is higher than your final guarantee, Chartwells will charge accordingly.

Length of Service
Our pricing includes a 3 hour service time. Extended service may be negotiated at least 3 days prior to the event. A service fee will be applied for events that exceed 3.5 hours.

Cancellation
If the notice of cancellation is not given 24 business hours in advance, you will be charged for the event.

If the event should be cancelled do to an Act of God (snow, ice, thunderstorms), it is the customers responsibility to call and cancel the event. If no call is placed, the customer may be responsible for the full amount of the event. If a cancel call is placed, customers will be charged a cancelation fee on a case by case basis.

A fee will still be applied for all canceled events.

Minimum Orders
Free on campus delivery is available for orders over $35.00 held outside of the University Center. This minimum is required for each function set-up.

Events held in the University Center that are under $20.00 include a basic set-up fee. A $50.00 fee will be assessed on off campus events.
